How we protect your data
Stored in Europe
Our database runs in Germany, and photos are stored in the European Union, under some of the strictest data protection laws there are.
Encrypted on the way
Every connection between your phone and OrdaBook is encrypted.
Each business kept apart
Every record belongs to one business. Our code checks it on every request, and the database itself refuses to show one business’s records to another.
Signing in, kept safe
Passwords and PINs are stored only in a form nobody can read back. Codes expire within minutes, and wrong guesses are limited. Every phone you trust is listed in Account, where you can remove it.
Staff see only their part
Each person sees only what their role allows, and you choose who sees money, phone numbers and pay. Our server checks it every time, not just the screen.
Every change to money is kept
Payments, approvals and pay are never edited or deleted, only corrected with a new entry, and every change records who made it and when.
Photos stay private
Photos are kept in private storage, and shown through links that stop working within the hour. Portraits are taken only with your customer’s consent.
We never hold your customers’ money
Online payments go through Paystack straight to your own account. Card details go to Paystack, never to us.
Backed up
We back up your records and keep encrypted copies for up to five weeks, so a fault on our side doesn’t lose them.
Your records, whenever you want them
Owners can download every record at any time, as spreadsheets and one complete backup file.
