Getting started
What does it cost?
Solo costs nothing and needs no card. Team and Studio add staff pay, a bigger team and more, paid monthly or yearly; Pricing has the prices and what each plan includes.
Why OrdaBook instead of a notebook or WhatsApp?
A notebook gets torn, lost or left at the shop, and orders get buried in WhatsApp chats. OrdaBook keeps every customer, measurement, order and balance in one place, safe even if your phone is lost, and works out your staff’s pay from approved work. You still talk to customers on WhatsApp: OrdaBook gives you a tracking link to send them there.
Which phones does it work on?
Any phone with an up-to-date browser, such as Chrome on Android or Safari on an iPhone, low-end Android phones included. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.
Can I customise order forms and tasks?
Yes. Your trade’s setup is a start: in Settings you edit its forms, fields, items, tasks and customer messages, or build your own.
Orders and customers
Can I add several businesses and branches?
Yes. One account can run several businesses and switch between them, and a business can have branches, each seeing its own orders while the owner sees them all.
Can I keep stock of ready-made pieces?
Yes, on Team and Studio. Add the pieces you sell as they are, with sizes or colours if they have them, and record what comes in. A sale takes them off, on a customer’s order or as a Quick Sale to someone walking in, and Home shows what runs low and what sells best. It’s off until the owner turns it on in Settings → Inventory.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once you’ve signed in, it opens without a connection with what you last saw, and changes wait on the phone until the signal is back. Signing in on a new phone needs a connection.
Team and pay
Can I manage staff work and payments?
Yes. Each task goes to a person; they submit it, you approve it or send it back, and approved work becomes their pay under your rules, on a pay statement. Salaries are kept too.
Can my staff share one phone?
Yes. Set up a shared shop phone and each person switches in with their own PIN. Staff with no phone at all can have their work recorded by you.
Shared events
Who can host a shared event?
Any business can join one, on every plan, Solo included. Hosting is on Team, 1 open event at a time, and on Studio without limit. An event stops counting once its day has passed or its host closes it.
What do the other businesses in an event see?
The event’s details, the businesses in it and their due dates, and the guest list if the host shares it, with each guest’s progress. Never your prices, payments, measurements, photos or customers’ phone numbers.
Can I pass a customer to another business?
Yes, to a business in the same event, and only with the customer’s agreement. Their name and number arrive in that business’s requests, with your name on them.
Money
Do I get sales insights?
Yes. Home shows your orders, takings and what’s owed over time, with short notes drawn from your own figures.
Can I earn free months?
Yes: by inviting other businesses, or by suggesting a feature we build. The rules are in Rewards, in the app’s menu.
What customers see
How do my customers see how far their order has gone?
Each order has a tracking link you send on WhatsApp. It shows the stage, the ready date and the balance, and has a button to message you.
Do my customers need the app?
No. The tracking link, your request page and group order links open in any browser, with no app and no account.
Account and data
Do I have to sign in every time?
No. You stay signed in on your phone for 30 days from the last time you use it, and a short PIN opens OrdaBook instead of your password. Sign in with your email and password, or with Google.
Is my data safe?
It’s stored in the EU over encrypted connections, each business’s data is kept apart, and staff see only what their role allows. Security has the details.
Can I export my data?
Yes, at any time: the owner downloads the customers, orders and payments as spreadsheets, or the whole business as one file, from Settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the app’s Account, at its foot. Deleting an account explains what goes at once and what’s kept for a while.
